Hey, do you think i should diet when summer break comes? Cause right now im trying to lose weight but all this stress and school work makes me eat a lot without thinking and i have finals coming up in a few weeks and im just stressed out of my mind so should i wait until school gets out to actually start exercising more when i have more freedom and time?

Maybe start easing yourself into now, even though i know it’s hard. Start by snacking on fruits and veggies instead, and try to work in some walks (maybe walk while trying to memorize flashcards or something?) But if you find yourself slipping occasionally, don’t beat yourself up about it.

The reason I say start now is because once summer starts, you’re going to end up hanging out with your friends and celebrating, which leads to a lot of eating. (personal experience talking here)

But take it slow for now and go at a comfortable pace

Please help me- i can't change my eating habits :( I'm eating more fruit and drinking a lot more water and I barely drink fizzy drinks or soda but when it comes to stop eating junk food- i just can't. I just can't stop eating :( Help x

This problem hits too close to home. I am exactly with you.

My prom is coming up so my motivation is sky rocketing, but even so I had a bag of chips today

I’d say stock your house with healthy food so you don’t have access to unhealthy food. So you’re forced to eat well. But then you have school/work, where people offer you food. If you think someone’s going to offer you food, say “no” in your head over and over again so when they offer food you just automatically reject.

Those are my methods, and I hope they help :)

If it’s a vacation, give yourself some leeway. Vacations are where you relax and let go of your worries.

That doesn’t mean to go to every mcdonald’s and stuff yourself with fifty big macs, but if you’re eating out with your family more than usual and one night you want to get a dessert, that’s perfectly okay!

People tend to gain weight on vacations. Once you get back to your normal schedule, that’s when you start worrying about getting back to your normal weight/ getting fit again.

If you’re still worried, you can always pick the healthier options when you eat (I know America has the stereotype of land of the obese, but we do have a lot of healthy options in restaurants and places, you just gotta look for them). And walk when you can or squeeze in some 10-minute exercises.

Nothing to be embarrassed about. We’re all trying to get fit here :)

Cardio is probably the most important thing here, and you need to back it up with some solid weight training. You can check out my tags for exercises.

Since 4’11” is a bit on the short side, you have to watch what you eat more (I know it sucks being short -___-) but luckily there are many delicious low-cal, nutritious foods

Water bottles work as light weights, and you can use like water jugs or milk jugs as heavier ones. I don’t like textbooks because they’re hard to hold

I love your blog! It has helped so much! Do you have anymore recipes you know that would be good to like take to school for a lunch or something?

Sandwiches! Whole wheat bread (or multi-grain) + choice of veggie (avocado, lettuce, tomato, spinach, etc) + choice of deli meat (not too much + condiments are optional (mustard is usually pretty health, mayo in super moderation is okay)

Sometimes I like to bring just a bunch of veggies, like carrots and celery. Hummus is fantastic dipping sauce/condiment (and you can bring pita bread too)

I also eat about 2 apples a day, or 1 if I bring a banana. Sometimes all three. Find some fruits you like and just eat those a lot.

a good thing to start with is the 30 day shred. or you can use an exercise creator that helps you target what you want to workout. and then from there, you’ll have a basic idea of what exercises you like that help you out the most

I like to pick some key foods to eat often and then switch it up. Generally, I eat a lot of oatmeal, cereal, apples, bananas, avocados, tuna occasionally, HUMMUS and pita bread, whole wheat bread, and stuff like that. And then I also eat whatever dishes my parents make, which are usually healthy because my mom loves veggies

It’s different for every person. Some people lose fat in their arms first, others in their legs or tummy.

Doing leg exercises to build some lean muscle helps make your legs look better
